Grace did it again.  Our amazing aunt hosted another coffee house.  The Amazing Grace Coffee House was held April 26, from 4 until 8.  I have to admit is was pretty amazing this time because of the AWESOME performers that came.

Food was great, lots of friends and a free concert.  What could be better.

This is the poster we sent to about 25 churches in the area.
Richmond Steak and Cheese is a new restaurant in the area.  They provided AWESOME steak sandwiches.
It was too much for somepeople to eat.  They had to take home a doggie bag.
Marty and Steve race to see who can be stuffed first.
We made a Welcome sign to say hello to our guests.
And as always, we drew on the table, played games and had some fun during the concert.

Clay and Gloria, Exit 9   Kerensa Gray
Kerensa blew us away with her strong voice and equally strong message.
Clay drove their songs with a great guitar beat.

To the right you can see that Bob got to play with Exit 9.  They wanted somebody from the audience to help out.  What they didn't know is that Bob is a professional drummer.

Kids danced in the back.   Other kids danced at the front.  Way to go Pastor.
To the left, you can see the raffle being drawn for the Movie basket and the Spa basket
Everybody had a really great time.

Virginia Synod Mission Trip
As many of you know, Susanne will be traveling to Papua New Guinea this July with a delegation on behalf of the Virginia Synod.  The Island's District, Papau, New Guinea is our partner synod in the ELCA.  The group includes Bishop Jim Mauney, assistant to the Bishop, Rev. Chip Gunsten, adults and two other youth.  Susanne and the others will be Ambassadors for Christ, with Susanne representing the Synod during the visit.

She and the other youth members will be connecting with the Papau New Guinea youth.  They will serve them by helping construct a community building which will be used for a great variety of programs.

Even before she applied to go, Susanne knew immediately that this was going to be the trip of a lifetime.  Nothing can compare to this for faith building opportunities.  She prays that she will return with a stronger faith.  Susanne looks forward to making a connection with, and helping the Lutheran youth who live in a place far away and far different than Richmond, Virginia.

If you want more information or are interested in becoming a "shareholder" in Susanne's mission trip, please send an e-mail to  Youth at LCOSVA.  In response to a monetary donation to help fund the mission trip, Susanne will hold a stockholder's meeting to report on the trip and share photos.

Your prayers and support in God's service are very much appreciated.
